The 800 MHz Bruker Ascend NMR spectrometer is the newest addition to the NMR facility, featuring an Avance III HD console (5 RF channels, 2 receivers), a SampleCase autosampler, 19F lock accessory, a nitrogen recovery unit, currently a TCI (1H/13C15N//2H) cryoprobe optimized for 1H detection, and also a TBI (1H/13C/31P-109Ag) RT probe. The final cryoprobe will be a custom-made QCI device (1H/19F/13C/15N//2H — all channels cold) with temperature control over -40 and +80 °C.
The NMR Facility serves a large community of users within the Department of Chemistry, other Departments on-campus, as well as companies of the Industrial Associate Program (IAP).
The NMR lab consists of seven spectrometers from 300 MHz to 800 MHz, all with remote-enabled access to experimental data, and standard off-line NMR processing software.
All spectrometers operate on a 24/7 open access basis. After mandatory operational training, users are granted their own account to perform experiments.
